Portfolio News: UnseenLabs 20M€ Series B
UnseenLabs, the European leader in satellite radio frequency (RF) geolocation of ships at sea, has just completed a €20m fundraising round led by 360 Capital, with participation from Omnes Capital, Blue Ocean Partners and historical investors Definvest (BPIfrance) and Breizh-up. This marks 360 Capital’s 3rd investment in New Space, following Preligens and Exotrail.
Unseenlabs is the European leader in satellite borne electromagnetic monitoring and intelligence. Through its space-proven proprietary technology, the company is able to track from space all maritime traffic – especially ships – that have switched off their identification system and that are unseen to maritime authorities or private companies. The main focus is therefore to detect dark vessels usually operating illegal activities such as illegal fishing, trafficking or piracy. Since 2019, the company has launched 3 satellites and can offer global coverage to its public and private clients.
This Series B will enable the company to accelerate its commercial deployment through the hiring of new sales staff and the opening of new geographic hubs. It will also allow the company to further deploy its satellite constellation in order to increase data availability and offer new use cases to its clients.
“We are delighted to be able to contribute to Unseenlabs’ development. We were convinced by the practical applications of its technological solution, which is already translating into considerable commercial success,” explains Alexandre Mordacq of 360 Capital
